| Wraith Wiring Help w/ Diagram!
Ok guy's I need some help. I am trying to run everything off a 4 channel TX. Chan 1: 4WS (Y Connector and rear Servo reversed so both servo's run off 1 channel. I do not need to be able to independently control the rear) Chan 2: Winch (Rcwd or 3Six. Running a dedicated bec because I want to run 3s. Shouldn't burn them out running a 3s bat with the bec correct? Chan 3: Light Controller (Want to switch from the radio using Heyok's controller) Chan 4: Throttle With all that in mind, this is what I came up with. Please give me your opinions on #1 Will this work. #2 Is my wiring diagram correct to obtain all these needs/wants. #3 Opinions on optional ways to get this setup working. I will eliminate the need to switch the lights on and off via the TX and use a onboard switch if I need too, but I would prefer not too. Thanks for your time and info. Sorry for the large picture, couldnt get Paint to crop it. Last edited by meffie; 01-26-2012 at 05:47 PM. |

Do you guy's think a BEC is needed to run a rc4wd or team3six winch on 3s? I've heard some conflicting opinions. Both winches are only rates for 2s, NOT 3s hence why I was going to run a bec on it. Let me know what you think pls. Thanks! |

The other (and probably better now that I think about it) would be to run it off RX power using your ESC's BEC to power it. It looks like in your diagram you are running the BEC direct to the two servos so there wont be that much load on your ESC's internal BEC. Check your RX specs but most will handle 7.4v just fine so if you can reprogram the BEC in your ESC you should still be able to run it on 2s power. The worst that would likely happen would be a brownout if the internal BEC cant keep up. If that happens then you know that you need to add the additional BEC. | |

Yah Im running an fxr and so I've heard the internal bec is not all it's cracked up to be, so I figured I would just limit the issue's and run a bec for the winch. I have modified my design a bit now. I think I'm going to run my light controller direct to the battery with a switch, so that free's up a channel on the rx. So both servo's will run their own channel and the winch on the 4th. But otherwise yah. I guess overkill is better in this case just for piece of mind. Who know's. Thanks for your answers |
