Default I think I need new electronics

This what I have for my AX-10 Scorpion(don't laugh).

Integy V10 Matrix Rock Crawler Professional Motor 55T
Futaba S3003 Servo Standard
Futaba R152JE 2-Channel AM Receiver 75MHz
Futaba 2PH 2-Channel AM
Tazer 15T Forward/Reverse ESC
1500 NiMH Split 6 Cell Battery
Dynamite Mega 1 Quick Charger

My ESC has died and I have to have a new one. I would like to upgrade all of what I have but do not have the cash to do so. Any help or point in the right direction would be great.

here is what i would get for an inexpensive setup:

Sidewinder ESC
35T motor (don't skimp if you don't have to)
castle 10A BEC
hitec 645mg servo
FS-GT3B 2.4ghz transmitter from hobbypartz
cheap lipos from hobbypartz or value hobby
thunder AC6 charger

So, what's the objective with the upgrade?
- You have a nice motor for slow crawling. Do you want more speed, torque or both?
- The radio should be working as is.
- New ESC, of course. (I don't know ESCs well enough to guide you here, but the new ESC should have drag brake function.)
- Your servo I don't know. Do you experience any problems with it?
- A 2S LiPo battery will give you reduced weight and a little more speed and power with everything else the same. LiPo batteries will require a new charger.

So, with a new ESC being the first step, I'd recommend a battery (and charger) replacement as the second step.
From there your (to me unknown) desires should set the priorities.

your motor is decent.
esc, i run losi msc12L esc,s in 3 of the 4 trucks i got. good esc, has LVC and crawler mode with a good drag brake. in the ball park of $35 used.
the s3003 servo is way to weak, and the gears wont last long. if your just rippin and runnin around the yard look at the solar or EXI servos from hobbyparts.com. you can also get your lipos, charger and a BEC from them too

your radio, though am is not great, its been around for many years and they still work.

I would go in this order
get a esc first to get the truck up and running.
then go servo and BEC. you'll need a JR servo horn for solar or exi servos
then lipos and charger
radio last

I'm going to write this down for later use. I priced some of the things you posted and it started going over my price range. Thanks for the info.

Can't really do a full upgrade due to lack of funds. Might start getting a little here and there until I get what I need. As for my servo I haven't had any troubles out of it.

Thanks for the info I'm going to look into the Losi ESC.
