Default help with Castle link and BRXL

Hey all I bought the Castle Link with the field programmer so I could adjust the brake on my brxl but I'm not very good at this stuff. Could someone help me? Here seems to be my First problem: I went to Castle website and down loaded, (this is the first problem) My computer uses Windows7 so there are special directions for that and my computer doesn't give me the prompts it is supposed to. I did download it (not sure it is correct tho) and in the menu there isn't a listing for a BRXL device?

Any and all help is appreciated

I'm pretty sure I had to have the battery hooked up to the BRXL and BEC for programming, something i don't remember doing for my Mambas. Might be a start.

Thanks, I did manage to get the HHS brxl to appear but I'll have to go back and do it again because when I adjusted the break it didn't seem to make any difference. All I want to do is allow it to roll a bit when you let off the throttle and not flip over on it's roof.
Does anyone have any suggestions? I was on the proper screen and hit the update button but that didn't work. I'm close but not quite there yet.

Thanks for any and all suggestions

Try pushing your throttle trim forward a little bit. It should keep the brakes calm enough for you to coast. Then when you want the breaks to hold again, just roll your trim back a little bit. That will hold you over until you get your programming issue solved.

ok here is what the deal is now......I plug everything in before I bring up the screen on my computer and it now recognizes the BRXL . When I adjust the brakes on the screen and hit "update" then try it nothing has changed, hopefully that makes sense. I've tried everything and NOW I can't get the BRXL to stop beeping! GRRRRR!!!! so I can even try to make adjustments OR use it. WTF!!!!

the problem seems to of fixed it self. Rolling the throttle trim seemed to work. I'm not impressed with the castle link atleast I don't seem to be able to adjust anything with it.....

Make sure that you are plugging the esc into the Castle Link properly. The end of the link with the prongs has a picture beside each one.... The brown wire goes to the - , red to + and the orange will go to the picture that looks like a backwards C. It's easy to plug it up backwards and that may be what is giving you programming issues.

I have the field programmer so I'm going through that. It does seem as though I have reduced the braking and it is better now. I'll give this another whirl tomorrow I'd like to get some braking back so we'll see. There seems to be a new "glitch" and I can't tell where it is coming from either the motor or the esc. It almost sounds like grinding but it doesn't appear to be....

thanks for all replies they are much appreciated.
