Default Servo pick

Which of these servos should I get for my wraith.
Hitec RCD HS-7950TH Mega Torque Ti Gear Digital Dual BB
Hitec RCD HS-7980TH Mega Torque HV Coreless Ti Gear 12 Bit 611oz Servo

I read alot about the 7950 being the top choice for Wraith owners but the 7980 seems much better all around, or is it just overkill?
Are they both programmable and does the 7980 fit on the Wraith.
I'm sure there are some pros and cons with these servos and I just want to get a little more info before I place an order.

Either one of those should be fine.

the 7980 is bigger size wise and you may run into mounting problems. i say MAY run into them, i never tried it on mine but pretty much anything you wanna do the 7950 should be plenty.

Thanks for the info.
Now what do you think will be the best servo pick for my Wraith. I'm trying to get the top pick so I wouldn't have to get it later on down the road.

The wraith is particularly hard on servos. If you can fit the 7980 then that's what you want. If not, the 7950 is definitely the way to go.

I'd be curious to see a pic of both of them side by side. As I understand it the 7980 is an in between size from 1/10 to 1/4 scale servos.

When if comes to spooled diffs and rocks there is no such thing as too much steering power.

Is it the higher the number (7950/7954) the stronger?

the 7954 is 403oz at 7.4v
the 7950 is 486 at 7.4v
id go with either a hs7950 or a jr9100t. these are what i run on all of my crawlers and love every one of them and how they perform on all of my crawlers. the jr9100t is 360oz at 6v.
