Default Need major help

Ok I have a clod rig I purchased a few months ago and I can't seem to get this thing to work properly. It's running stock Tamiya cans MOA, Traxxas 2.4 tx/rx, traxxas EVX-2 and dual 7cell Nimhd. Here's the problem, it either runs full blast forward or full blast reverse. There is no feathering the throttle (JUST GO!).........................WTF

Here is the manual.... http://traxxas.com/sites/default/fil...ons-2008_0.pdf

Did you set-up the TX 1st (per the manual) and then calibrate the ESC to the RX?

I'm assuming you did, but need to ask anyway.

Calibrate your ESC first, see if that fixes it.

If you put a different radio (tx&rx) on it and it works right, then your current radio has too much expo dialed into the throttle channel. Not sure that radio has that capability, though.

If you put a different ESC on your current radio and it works fine, then it's an ESC issue, probably need to send it in to find out if you've lost all your low speed FETs. If it winds up being a burned up ESC, when you get it back, lower your gearing, or you'll likely be right back in the same situation again soon.

Thanks for posting a follow-up.

When there is an ESC issue, recalibrating is the typical 1st thing asked about.

Glad you have it resolved, now, go have fun.
