Default steering glitch

Building a wraith kit with my son. Put battery in front(3s). Spektrum TX/rx. Tekin fxr, castle bec set to 7.2, wired direct to servo, only signal wire to rx. Every time we punch the throttle the wheels turn, they straighten out as you drive, but even when you're moving, punch it and the wheels turn. Any ideas?

Spektrum radios have been known to glitch without a ground wire going from the servo to the rx. That would be the first thing I would try.

Spektrum radios like the servo ground to the RX to reduce glitching.

Right now, you have 2 servo wires going to the BEC & 1 servo wire to the RX (signal).

You either need to move the servo ground (black or brown wire) to the RX or make a jumper so the servo ground goes to the RX & BEC.

I'm having the same issue. running a Hitec Shredder RX with Hitec HS-755mg servo and CC bec. should i also (as the org. poster above) run a jumper wire from the servo back to the RX? i have the BEC powering only the servo. bec is set at 6V. Radio is old Hitec sport AM 27mhz. Green freq.

That may help, but running some of todays ESC's & servos on a AM or FM radio has it's own challanges.
You may want to go to 2.4ghz soon.
