Default Itching for a New ESC

With the Sidewinders totally out of stock around here and hard to find in stock online I'm looking into HPI's rebranded version....or so I thought until I pulled some pics on it.

HPI FLUX Reload V2 - benefit is that it's waterproof but is it submersible for my scale rigs? I have an extra CC BEC I can waterproof as well which is a must for this ESC. This will be going into my Trailfinder 2 build running a 35T Holmes TM.

I would go for the BRXL as usual but John said he's sold out until mid-late May.

Is the Flux Reload V2 the same the Sidewinder V2....and CasteLink compatible?

No, the Reload is made by Hobbywing and is a rebadged EZRun 60A in a waterproof case. The reload V1 is the 35A and does not have the extra casing.
It will not support a brushed motor and is sensorless only, so it is not a good choice for crawling.

The Flux Vapor, Vapor Pro, Q-Base and Blur models are made by Castle.

actually it's the HPI Vapor that is a castle creation Sidewinder V2 and is fully programmable via Castle creation...I know, I have one! and waterproof as well!

The Flux Vapor, Vapor Pro, Q-Base and Blur models are made by Castle.
Since you missed it the first time, Hobbywing makes the Flux Reload (rebadged Ezrun 60a) as well as the Rage Flux (rebadged Xerun 80a) but all other Flux ESCs are made by Castle Creations.
Motiv = Mamba, also discontinued but still available for sale some places
Vapor = waterproof Sidewinder V2 on 2s
Vapor Pro = waterproof Sidewinder V2 with 3s support
Q-Base = Mamba Max Pro
Blur = Monster Mamba Max

If you plan on running a brushed motor, do not get the Reload or Rage as they are brushless only.
