| Brushed Motor Timing Question
So I am cleaning my 35T Integy Motor. When I removed the can I forgot to mark it and now I've lost where the timing was set. I can see the marks on the plastic part of what i think is call the endbell? Can you just screw it down again anywhere or how can i get to how it was? Thanks Last edited by Lou-Dog; 05-12-2012 at 09:39 AM. |

You can assemble anywhere, but a few observations. 1-If you're ~180 out of where it was, the motor will run reverse. 2-For a crawler, typically we run 0* to slight advance timing. I would start with 0* which is the brush centerline in the middle of the magnets (same as the brush centerline 90* to the vents in the side of the can). If you want a little timing, mount the motor and slowly spin the wheels in forward. See which way the motor turns. Twist the endbell 1/2 timing notch to 1 notch AGAINST the armature rotation. Lock down the endbell & run. |

Here's a pic. Positive brush hood on the left, negative on the right. Spin it 180 if you truck requires reverse rotation. Last edited by Cordwood; 05-12-2012 at 09:58 AM. |

that should be the zero mark if you don't have it 180 out....keep in mind what screw you have at the zero mark, it should be a different color from the other one at least all mine are different....that's how i keep mine when i take them apart........bob .... |

I taught myself "Red on the right", two R's. And what I mean is red (positive) on the right of the notch in the can when looking at the endbell side is normal rotation. Little faster forward than reverse is good. |

Thank you for the picture and thank you everyone for the helpful posts. I will try at 0* and see how it goes. I did not know it was 90 degrees from the motor vents.
