Default AE-2 problem

On my sons Wraith, the esc is only working in reverse.. I tried to re-setup the esc and it recognizes the input from the transmitter but when we try to run the truck it only works in reverse.. When you do apply forward throttle the esc lights up green, it just doesn't do anything.. Is it time to upgrade or am I just doing something wrong..
Thanks, Wes

First thing I'd check is that the motor runs forward and reverse, just swap the wires. If it does then I'd dig a little deeper into the remote/radio. Can you reset the radio to defaults and reset the esc as well?

The other question is, was it running fine up until recently? Did something happen to cause it to stop working?

I reversed the motor wires and the motor does turn both directions.. I also pulled the futaba out of my boat and plugged it in, same thing, only works when the trigger is moved forward like for reverse/brake.. I've not changed any settings in the esc, I don't have a castle link to do it with so I would assume it is still set at the default settings.. It worked fine 2 days ago, he ran the battery til the cut-off I charged it that evening and my wife hooked it up for him yesterday while I was in bed and it wouldn't work..
