Have a savox SC-0251 steering servo in my losi comp and it keeps getting warm why? I have adjusted my epa's and it does not buzz at center but as I steer it does. Thought that was normal?

Its probably not strong enough. I would not consider anything less than 300 oz on a crawler. I like my Hitec 7980's.

Your servo isn't strong enough so it gets hot as it is overstressed. If you work your rig hard enough almost any servo will get hot. The 7954SH in my AX-10 can get blistering hot if I put multiple packs through it. The Savox 2270 in my Wraith also gets blistering hot if I rock crawl with it for a pack. It's only warm after mild bashing. The Savox 1268 in my SCX will get warm after multiple backs, but not hot enough to burn you like the others. I second the motion for a 300+ oz/inch servo.ff |
