Default ESC problems..

I'm sorta new to all of this stuff, so sorry if i sound stupid, but..my searches came up with info that doesn't exactly match whats wrong with my ESC I have the Axial Ae-2 and its been great..I've had it sitting disconnected in my honcho for a few days, waiting to throw it my wraith for a test run..so tonight i hooked it up to the wraith, turned it on, and nothing happened, no beeps, no LEDs, nothing. I've tried 3 different batteries (all NIMH 3500 mah) and still nothing, checked all connections, everything seems fine. It worked perfectly in the honcho a couple days ago..so i'm lost here, any input would be appreciated! Thanks

sound like something wrong connected, have you tried to do not connect the motor and everything other stuff like led and servos?
Try to connect only the battery and the stearing servo, stop.

Is the light coming on in your reciver? Are you running a bec? did you disconnect your power wire from esc if running a bec?

I dont see how if your esc was working in one car but its now not working in a diffenent car. are you using the same reciver from the other car?

Some esc require setup when matched with a different reciver/radio etc, just trying to help....

Were you using the same batteries in the other rig?
Is the ESC to RX wire correctly installed?
Are your battery packs wired with the same polarity?

Alrighty..same batteries, same receiver, same everything, it just suddenly stopped working after I disconnected everything and put it in the wraith, I thought i might have to bind it again, but it won't even attempt to bind. No lights, no beeps, nothing at all...so i'm guessing its fried....somehow..?

I am not too familiar with the AE2, but you said all three batteries were NIMH. Does this speed control have a selectable "lipo mode" where it will shut down for insufficient voltage? If so, perhaps this is engaged and preventing the ESC from functioning?

Hmm its possible, it says 2s lipo on the side...? but theres not a switch or button or anything that i can see..I don't have it in front of me..but I dont know how it would have got changed to "lipo mode". I'll do some research about that..thanks for the idea

I had a motor burning problem, no matter what I did; changing gear ratio, gear mesh or cleaning and relubeing everything; I still burnt motors, took my rig to my LHS (TwistedRC) and found out the drag brake was doing the damage and no adjustment made a difference. I know this is not your same problem, but I didn't find mine without the Castle Link connection. Good luck.

The great thing about the castle link is you can save your settings and try different things out.

One thing to look out for though, is I had actually ruined a Castle Sidewinder because I calibrated it with my throttle channel reversed. After calibration it was dead and wouldn't even respond to castle link. I ended up having to send it back and get a new one. I never got an answer as to what happened. Might have been an iffy esc out of the box.
