Default novak ballistic rebuild

Hi I have just bout a novak b.l. ballistic sensored 17.5 motor. Bought used from the sight. It seems to drive when it wants to it doesn't turn always and just vibrates or twitches and gets very hot. I want to do a full rebuild on this motor but have not ever done one. Where do I start and what parts would I need to do a full overhaul? Any help would be nice.

Thanks

Sounds like the stator is toast...which is a common issue with the novaks with the thinner insulation wire...

Replace the stator, check the sensor board....check the bearings, clean it...about all you can do on a brushless motor unless you toast the rotor magnets too.
