| best lipos?
i got a few venom batteries and they seem to suck and i was racing my slash 4x4 around a school and slammed into a curb at about 40mph and had to toss a good lipo because it was pretty messed up so im going to use that as an excuse to buy all new lipos for my xr-10 with a covered rr battery mount, wraith that im currently building to where the battery has to fit up front, and a few scalers that can have most any size batteries in them, so whats the best brand i know people say max amps is good, and others say it sucks, and some say venom is good, others say they suck so can someone give me a good awnser???? let me know the best brands you have or have heard of thanks! |

I use Elites for the most part, ThunderPower when I can't get Elites in the size I want/need. I get all of them from www.CheapBatteryPacks.com They are a vendor here, never had an issue, shipping has been great (order early Friday from Oregon, at my house in NJ Monday via USPS). |

MaxAmps. I have tried a lot of them in my crawler and none of them even come close. I like the MaxAmps so much I took it apart and rewired it so I could get a better fit. My crawler runs better, the battery doesn't fade until its near time for the lipo cut off, and it runs longer. I know people will moan about the prices. I highly recommend trying one and deciding for yourself. |

I like venom. Haven't to had much trouble. Idk about Max-Amp but if you screw up a venom you can follow their instructions and get them to send you a new one. Like a warranty I guess.

I really like the ckrc punchpacks too. They are nice and small, easy to fit anywhere. Forma cheap low C pack I really like the Duratrax Onyx series. I dont use them for racing but in myncrawlers I am very happy with their 2S 5000 mAh packs...I own a handful of em.

I can't relate YET on crawler battery use, but as far as a good run time Max-Amps works well for me, also Turnigy is my choice. In my RC8Te and RC8Be ...just my .02

I said "Try one and see for yourself" because my experience with their product has been great. You really think trying a battery product is out of line with the gargantuan amount of money people waste on RC's every day? How much money do you think people could save on repairs alone if everyone used a quality stainless screw set and some $100 Boca Yellow bearings each build? Have You tried MaxAmps? Or did you merely justify lower cost units by finding what you wanted to read on the forum? I don't have a clue what a "C Rating" is, I just recommended what worked best for me. Instead of pointing to a thread with a bunch of back yard philosopher's. Last edited by olblueyez; 07-10-2012 at 03:01 PM. | |

Thunderpower. And if they do have an issue (even if it's your fault) they'll credit you towards another one.
