| Novak timbuk2 brake setup question
Hi, I'm new to the forum, but back into rc trucks after a long break. I bought a wraith kit to have some fun with some lite crawling. My hobby shop sold me the novak timbuk2 18t motor.(maybe 18.5 I can't remember) In general I like it, but my type of running has no use for the hill brake, so I shut it off. Now I have NO brake. Pulling the trigger is normal, and when I release the trigger I coast, but when I push the trigger into the braking positions, I go full reverse. I have done the one touch several times. I have a spektrum dx3r pro, and I am running a default configuration in the radio. I would just like normal braking like my traxxas slash. Does anybody have any ideas? I have sent 2 email to novak last week with no responce yet. Thanks |

Turn your brakes back on and set it to maybe 2, if you just want a slow deceleration. See how that feels and go from there. The brakes on the Timbuk are a little different than what Traxxas has, you dont have to push towards reverse, just let off the throttle and it will stop.

Or switch the motor to a non-crawler motor and the ESC will function exactly like the one in your slash.
