OHHHHH traction control and a gyro!!!! on a crawler Gotta get me one I wonder if they will come out with gate detection that would steer you away from gates????? One better would be lazer tracking, just point and shoot, the receiver will detect the painted (lazered) line and auto drive you through the gate???????? Does it have a spring loaded toggle switch to run rear steer with auto self centering or is that already availble?

I was playing with the 4PK Super R the other day. Not overly impressed with it other than the shorter (by about 1/2") antenna and chrome wheel are cool new features. It runs dual stage foam on the wheel, soft on the outside and firm on the inside but you can feel the glue between the joints so it really feels like its soft/rock hard/medium compound. The foam feels a little small in my big clumsy fingers. The buttons are all tinted chrome. The lights around the joystick are bright. Titanium and alloy screws are used to make the radio lighter than the 4PK Super but not much lighter and they have made the hook out of alloy to lighten it up also. The only difference in the software is an update for the new GYC430 car gyro, CPS-1 Light module and preset Dual ESC functions. The gyro offers remote gain adjustment and the ability to switch between AVCS and normal modes. I've been using the GYC430 for a few months with the 4PK Super and the only difference is that I had to manually program the settings that the 'R' does through the preset software. The CPS-1 light kit will except lights up to 600mah and can be wired to the steering/throttle or Aux ch 3 or 4. So turn signal can be set or brake lights, high beams or you can just make all/any of the lights flash at an adjustable speed from 1 - 50 cycles/second. The Dual ESC preset is very similar to the 4PL programming. The switch can be set on any of the DT or DL buttons. They say the servos are 5% faster with the 4PK Super R but I couldn't notice any difference with the S9352HV or my old S9351. If Futaba wanted to make a real difference with this radio they should have added the ability to run S.Bus, both FASST & FHSS receivers and telemetry. The big question will be if we can get the 4PK Super's updated to the 'R' software because the big SuperR on the main screen looks cool. |
