3 Racing winch wont stop running

I have a 3 Racing winch that wont stop running.If I press button on controller it does nothing.I'm using its own battery with DX6I.It runs with TX off and no other power supply.Its like it is bypassing RX.thanks for any help.I unpluged it from RX,hooked up battery and it still runs.Press button and it does nothing.Does that mean controller is bad.If so would another controller from 3racing or Heyok controller be better.

The stock controllers seem to sometimes fail. I hope you can give one of mine a try.

Are those winches worth the money, or is there a reputable servo winch builder one would go with...?

Those small winches have a very scale look. If you are looking for something that can pull a heavy load, they probably aren't for you. If you have a broken one, don't throw it out - it makes a nice front end for a servo winch that you can put somewhere else, out of sight, on your chassis.
You can either modify an old servo to become a winch, or I make one:
Servo Winch - Complete with Controller
There are some other vendors making them too.

Servo winches are quite capable of lifting a surprisingly heavy rig.

I had the same problem with my 3 racing winch controlling on my flysky gt3b radio. I ordered a new controller from ckrc (they offer a controller specifically for 2 pos 3rd channel radios). It worked great. I don't know about the power yet. It definitely won't be as powerful as a servo winch.

Couldn't get it to work at all, we tried and the thing went up in smoke....burned a fet right down to the board

Sorry, which controller did he have? A HeyOk one or a stock one?

I know my stock controller is going to burn up eventually, I've been looking at your controllers Heyok. I'll probably pick one up soon so I can swap mine when it lets the smoke out.

wasn't yours Heyok...I believe it was the stock 3racing it was just a bare board and an open plastic box....
