Default having trouble with stock axial esc

i HAD a great running wraith, and decided to do the "battery forward.esc back" trick. the conversion went flawlessly, until i hooked it all back up. have steering and lights but no motor, seen mant posts on this subject but none seem to have a problem that i have. the lights on the esc flash constantly, and the esc beeps continually, i have called customer support at axial and the guy was very generous and sent me a new esc. it does the same thing right out of the box before i even installed it. i had an extra axial receiver and tried it, same problem. someone please help me , I'm having no-crawl "jonses " here!!
