Solar d772 is probably best price/oz durable.... I dont know. I run hitec, jr, futaba and just grabbed a few 500oz savox with good luck so far

I'm running a Solar D772 on my Ridgecrest with a 5A BEC on 6V. Seems to work pretty good, although I think the specs are a bit over rated (see the reviews on the Hobbypartz site). Haven't had a problem with it yet.

what rig are you running it in? the hitec 645 or 5645 are about 30 bucks and about 130 -170 oz of torque.

I've got a HobbyKing servo on the way, based on the specs its rated at 430oz/in @ 7.4v. Once it gets here I'll post up about it.

| Re: cheap servo? Which one you have gotten, I received 2 turnigy TRY-1268HV and TRY-1267HV, both shuttered and I have asked for return already. Will try the bluebird one next time. I seems to have bad luck with Turnigy servo, bluebird has been good.

I had seen a conversations that the hobbyking had very common failure of bending the pins. Hope you have better luck cause the specs are there for sure!

Running the D772 here powered right off the lipo. Never wanted 'more' servo while using it.

"Good" sorta depends on what rig & what use. What is good in a 1.9 for fun/trail runs is NOT good for a Super in comps. Fun/trail rigs and lighter scale rigs can get away with servos under 200inoz, 1.9 comp rigs are looking for ~200inoz+ and 2.2 comp rigs are looking at 300inoz+ and an external BEC. So, a statement of, "I want a cheap servo" is sorta useless. Is a $10 servo that dies in the first run worth it?? [likely - no] On the other hand, is a $180 servo in a 1.9 trail rig worth it? [likely no, unless you have money to burn] | |
