I don't have that particular motor but have a pro 4 3300kv and a roc 412 2300kv. I have taken the motors apart and taken the sensor board out and sealed with liquid electrical tape. I also seal up the can of the motor as I reassemble it motor.

I have not had any problem with water causing the sensor to quit working. I just had my cherokee in water up to the roof with no problems and sensors were still working for smooth startup. I also have both ESC's taken apart and liquid electrical taped the circuit boards and clear rtv for the LEDs. I have had both escs completely under water with no problems. I have since started doing the receivers also. No other water proofing done.

I have heard that the corrosion X treatment works well also. But I guess after awhile it will have to be reapplied.

Yes. I completely disassemble the motor and seal the circuit board for the sensors and sealed the mating surfaces of the can and wiped off excess sealant. Also plugged unused mounting holes with loctite'd setscrews or fill the holes with sealant. Also I sealed the sensor wire connection on the back of the motor and the gap around the motor power wires.

here is a link to my old jeep build that I'm using the drivetrain in my new Tundra build. The waterproofing starts about half way down.
Jthellfire's C2/Foff rig with big Powa!!

should be pretty detailed on how to waterproof a tekin motor decently.

i took my pro4 apart, shot the inside of the can and rotor with corrosion x & sprayed conformal coating on both sides of the sensor board, put it back together with liquid etape sealing the holes in the can by the sensor plug and motor leads, i also plugged the motor mount holes that werent being used with liquid etape.

multiple submersions later and no problems.
