| Savoc High Voltage Servo Glitch... I think?
A little back ground Truck is SC10 4x4 used for racing Hobbyking 60amp ESC & 8.5t Brushless Savoc High Voltage 8.4V Servo RC4 Transponder GT3b Radio & Receiver... Hacked Gen Ace 5000 mah 2s battery Servo power is DIRECT from battery... NO BEC.. only wire going receiver is the steering control wire. I have been running this for 2 months with no issues at all ever. Wed night after a run on the track I was carrying the truck to the pit and the servo started to Jitter & shake. I shut off truck... turned back on and it stopped.... then no steering at all... power to wheels... but no steering. Next day at home... installed fresh battery... turned everything on... Steering worked like normal. The only change is the new RC4 Transponder... however... I had no issues at all the previous week. When tested at home.. no transponder, its at the track. I know someone will say GLITCH BUSTER NEEDED.. Do I still need it if the servo power does not go thru the receiver?? Why no trouble for 2 months? BEC neeed?? Again.. power is direct from battery to servo... Servo is rated for the higher voltage.... Same as above.. its been fine for 2 months. Your thoughts? Recamendations? Thank you |

Savox servo?? It may be the servo is developing an issue. Glitch busters (& similar) are to help when you use the ESC BEC to power a servo when you have brownouts. In your case, I highly doubt it's an issue. Try a different servo and see if the issue goes away. If you stated you had a Spektrum radio, then I would suggest a ground connection between the servo, external BEC & RX. |

Sorry about the spelling... You gave pretty much the same answer I suspected. I'm going racing today... and bringing a spare servo. If I have any issues I will swap it out. Its only about a 30-40 min Job on this truck. LOL. Thank you |

I'm have a similar problem, and I suspect it's the amount of voltage going to the servo. I plan to try using resistors and potentiometers, to mess around with different levels of power, to see if I can diagnose the servo(s) issues, just like with your truck. I will post my results when they happen. |
