So I have a 235 and I got 2 new 3s Lipo one a venom and one a winmax well I have the charger set up right and yes the balance board is plugged in right so what's the deal I read the onyx manual and the bal.con error isn't even in the list of errors

And google didn't even give me anything on the issue

wich batt gives u the error i have the same charger an have had good luck with it never had a error message i was usein 2 venom 3 cell 5400 lipos now im usein some ace gens no probs with either

That's just it they both give the error and both batteries are brand spankin new

do u have any other batts to try olny time i get an error mess is when its a junk batt or was discharged to much if u have someone that has a batt try to charge his an c if his charger will charge ur batts. that or u have a bad balance connector might have to contact the manafactures an c what they say

Yea that's kinda the only thing I can think of is a bad board cuz it will charge 2s just fine

also try to unplug all connetions an plug them back in an recheck ur settings i have made the mistake of thinking it was on 3 cell but was on 2 cell

Ok so I took my roommate's charger same one and same issue using the same balance board sadly we only have the one board but same issues with 2 diff chargers so I'm gona say balance bord is the culprit cuz I doubt 2 new batteries are bad

And yes their set for 3s not 2s

yup sounds like a balance board if the charger is new i would contact the manafacture an let them know of the problem i do know mine came with two diff balance boards not sure what the diff between them r i do know the one says electrifly an i think the other says align on it

The connectors are different where you plug the pack balance plugs in.
One is for the Align/JST style balance plug.
