Default which radio between the three

going to be setting up an XR10 with dual ESCs and i want dig.
there are a couple of radios avialable in my local used market, an older 4PK and newish 4PL at about the same price (roughly $180 converted)... and a brand new RC2WD XR4 for cheap. all i want is the dig functionality with the 2 ESCs... what should i get?

Well you can't go wrong with either futaba radios, but if you're looking to keep it cheap check into a fly sky gt3b with the losikid hack you can get the whole set up for around 70-75$ search overkill rc

If you need to purchase a radio now, why not think about what you would like to do in the future.

Winches, lights, and other accessories will require extra channels if you want to do it right.

4PL or hacked GT3B/GT3C

If you run multiple rigs (or may have multiple rigs later), the RX's for the GT3B/C are ~$7 each.

Hands down best radio for a crawler I have used for the last 2 years is an Airtronics MT-4 its amazing what you can do with a xr10 controlled by it.

Rc4wd won't mix the ESC's, so that leaves the Futuba's. Either one will fit your needs, I'd go with the 4PK.

The m11 was a great racing radio but anything crawling related it is horrible in my opinion. It is super heavy and bulky, also was a pain to make things work the way you want it because it doesn't have stuff like dig 4ws already built in. I would steer clear from that radio in my opinion.

4pk if you get it for that price. But 4pl is probably easier to find that cheap. It`s a great radio you can`t go wrong with futaba. It is a very trusted brand on this website.

The 4PL was eventually offered to me at a lower price but it was the non-updated version so i passed up on it and i am expecting the 4PK to be arriving today. Thanks for all the input people!

Now time to check out Harley's 4PK tutorial.

To do so, package your radio up and place a note in the box with a note saying that you want the latest update software for the 4PL. Do not forget to give your name and address!

Send the radio to this address:
Hobby Services

Champaign, IL 61822

Turn around time, not including shipping should be a couple days.
