Default Another Timbuk2 Question...

Ok everyone. Last question about the Timbuk2 I swear So despite all the negative reviews I purchased the Novak Timbuk2 combo. I've ran 5 packs through it all love it so far. BUT, despite all of the programming and adjustments I have made. I can't seem to figure the throttle out. In reverse, it is very snappy and wants to flip over. (Which is fine since my rig always goes where it's told) Haha, but the forward drive doesn't pack the same punch. It is "doggy" off the line. Once it's rolling the power is great. Once the rock boost kicks in look out! So I'm just wondering if that is the way the system is designed to run? A smooth throttle is nice. But I'm big in Rock Bouncing. It just isn't there with the slight delay. I tried changing the motor rotation and that solved it. But then my rock boost is in reverse. I've tried every programming option I could think of. Is there a trick to it or is it just nature of the beast?

Some ESC's have different internal settings for forward vs. reverse. You "may" have had the wiring such that the "rig forward" is actually "ESC reverse" and thus the issue.

A thought would be to swap the motor wires (if running un-sensored.....which I doubt you are...)& then either reverse the throttle channel in the TX or inside the ESC.

That did cross my mind. The manual that came with it said to NEVER cross the wires. I can program the motor to turn the other way as well as reversing the controls on the transmitter. Had no luck there either. Ive searched and searched and can't find any information on this issue I'm having. The way it is wired up now the 3 wires from esc to motor are matched color to color.

Might try adjusting the end points on the throttle channel. Max out the forward and reduce the reverse to taste.

On the transmitter or esc?

Never swap the motor wires from the correct a-a b-b c-c configuration on any sensored motor.

True, if he is running sensored.
