Default Single Channel TX/RX

I am working on a project where I would like to control a servo by a single channel remote, does anyone make one?

Right now I am controlling the servo with one of these:

It works, but I am looking at making a servo extender six feet long.

I did look at the remote for the Bulldog winch, as far as I can tell it will not work for a standard servo.

Buy a two channel radio and use only one of the two channels.
Single channel was used in R/C some 50 years ago when radios were very expensive.

You could look at robotics stores, but I'd guess even they use radios with more channels.

And, they were the size of a toaster!

I am looking at ripping the guts out of a cheap 2.4ghz and using that in a hobby box.

Thanks for the input guys!

Just about finished with it. Looks like hell, but not bad for a prototype, works the way I want it to thought. I'll post a thread when I get the last part put together.
