The Gasman's motor mounted battery electonics gear mount measurements

I know there are many threads about electronics/battery trays in the forum but there appear to be none with the measurements actually shown. I would like to share the measurements for the tray I made with the forum. This gear tray is motor mounted and runs between the lower links of my XR10. It is made out of out of 0.063 alu, a 10”x4” sheet here in Perth Australia cost me $8 in my LHS.

I don’t mean to usurp Rowdy Racing’s motor mounted tray (I have his axle mounted battery tray and its awesome) im just giving everyone the measurements if they feel inclined to make their own

Its easy to cut (with tinsnips), drill, file, and fold. I looked around at various designs and made up my own measurements. Im using it for the BEC and FXRs but it could just as easily be used as a comp battery tray.

Here are the measurements for a tray for an XR10



First cutout


The final result changed shape a bit from the first cutout as i continued to nibble away at it




Pretty happy with the end result: :dance:




Here it is with the CC BEC and dual FXRs fitted.
