Default Axial Simple Light Controller Q

Hey all. Recently re-configured my Simple Light Controller so that I could get some rock lights up front as well as some bumper lights and am having trouble with two of the LEDs.

I kept the 4 white LED string meant for the SLC up front and used it for the bumper lights and rock lights, but when I replaced the rear red 2 LED string with a white one and put them in the headlights they are super dim. Does the SLC automatically give less power to the "red" lights because they are tail lights usually? In the photo, the LEDs that are dim are the ones mounted to the body on the farthest outside.

LED can operate on different voltages depending on color. Most 5mm red(I'm assuming you are using) run on 1.8-2.2v. Most whites run 3.0 to 3.6v. A change in voltage can even change the shade of color you are getting.

Easy way to tell, just put a meter on it.

The SLC Fr/Rr output voltage is not of equal voltage/value
the front output voltage powers 4 white leds
while the rear output voltage only powers two red leds

I was able to power the Axial universal 5 string universal led light bar using the front output
but thought the lights were not as bright as they should be.
but the rear output voltage will only power two red leds.

Sadly I did not find the facts online...
and never checked the SLC's output(s) with my voltmeter.

if you'd like to power additional leds...

or

the Axial NVS (Night Vision System)

That system is horribly overpriced. An system can be purchased for about $15.00, then $5.00 worth of parts purchased to make it equivalent. The only issue is you need to be able to solder.

You can make your own light string for just a few dollars.
