| Battery wire isize?
Ok I ordered some batteries from Hobby King and what I ordered and what I received was two different things. The nano-tech battery I ordered was supposed to have a traxxas plug on it but the one I received has the receiver wires and end on it. I am sure I can’t use these to run my rig but I thought I would ask first before finding another use for these and ordering some new batteries. Here are the ones that I received. If you want a pretty smoke show and maybe some fire, I'd use that pack.. But then again I have motors that are AMP hogs. What is your set up? |

Depending on the weight and gearing of your rig you may be able to use those packs. I have a 6.5 lb SCX10 with a 35T motor using a 1300 mAh 35C battery. My gearing is 87/14 or about 6.2:1 My pack can produce (1.3 x 35) 45A. Your pack is 2000 mAh and 20C. When I see a range like 20-40C I always assume it is a 20C. Your pack can produce (2 * 20) which is 40A. You would have to be geared low and doing crawling speeds to make it work. |

There's nothing wrong with using that pack for your setup. I believe the only reason it's called a "Receiver Pack" is because it's designed to fit into a specific dimensional crit The batteries I get for my MRC, and some of my 2.2p and 2.2s rigs come with that wire size and plug on them. I simply attach the style of plug I want...usually Deans. Where did you see that it was suppose to come with a Traxxas plug? On a side note...wire size. Is the wire size on this pack ideal for your use...probably not. Will it work...yes. The way I look at this is that the manufacturer built the pack using that wire size to handle the max. discharge that it is capable of. The point where you can have a problem is if you maintain max discharge for a long period where it would cause the wires, or the pack to heat up excessively.
