I would save up another $20 and get a proven motor.

if you want to spend around $60 for a crawler motor, why not buy the Hobbywing 21.5t 1600kv at the same site ?
I'd choose Hobbywing over any unknown brand. I'm running the HW 3656SD in my ShortCourse and it's simply the most brutal motor available.

I know that other motors, bought alone, are not very much more expensive, but the reason for which I ask about these motors is that rcmart sells them with Xerun 120A esc as combo for only 125 usd ;)

It's simply the most brutal motor available. Are you serious? I have one and not even close. I do like the sensor port on the side though. Ended up putting it in my 6 year old daughter's truck.

What did you replace the 3656sd with that was better? It's easily as good as a tenshock or pro4.

Not, Sorry Pro4 is better. I never mentioned the Tenshock(although have heard good things about them). Check in this forum and see how many people run a 3656sd and how many run a Pro4. I've heard of a very few using the 3656sd and tons using the Pro4. So if the 3656sd costs half of what the Pro4 costs how come everyone doesn't run one? I have both motors and about to order a Pro4HD for kicks. Sorry, just stating facts. Some people don't like to hear the truth though. I didn't know this was a dick swinging contest.

Marketing... Tekin advertises much more aggressively and they have team drivers as well as Ty here on the forum . Stuff like the wraith works really well on 4 pole short course motors. The top three SC motors are the pro4, tenshock, and 3656sd. The are all really good motors (as long as you can keep the tenshock cool).

I'm sorry if your 3656sd is a dud because mine rips.

OK, you win, feel better? Was more impressed with the 2230kv 550 in my Redcat Earthquake 8e. You can go bump goobers with pygmy now.

No one needs to "win". This a thread about brushless motors. In these threads we discuss our experiences. You experience with this motor is different than mine. That ok.

Tell me more about the 550 in your red cat. Who is the manufacture of that motor?

I'm curious which kv 3656sd you have as well.

I'm not understanding "I know same co. different model". Could you explain that. I'm probably just being slow...

Because of your subtle verbal jabs. That's cool. I'm not here to fuss, just disagreed with a post. Carry on.

I'm sorry. I wasn't aware that I was making any jabs. If you would please point them out to me I might be able to refrain from using the same wording in the future. I replied to you pm as well. I hope we can come to an understanding because I truly am confused.

Here's the facts :

Hobbywing rotor, Tekin rotor, Tenshock rotor.

HobbyWing 3656SD.

Tekin Pro4.

TenShock.

Now swing your dick in a way that explains why a smaller rotor will magically produce more power.

And why it's cheaper than tekin ? Because it's not "Built in 'Murica !!".
Why aren't more people running it ? Because people buy what team-drivers are running, and team-drivers run what their sponsors want them to run. Which is usually "built in 'Murica".

And one more thing :

The 3656SD doesn't have the sensor port on the side.

I don't know what motor you're talking about, but if you had a sensor port on the side you sure weren't running a 3656SD.
Now let me swing my dick back into my pants, it's getting cold.

Can we now just have a normal discussion again ?
