Default Xray micro speedo winch controller

its the smallest esc I could find. It powers my m18 brushed micro. The motor on the car is 3 times bigger than the one in my 3racing winch. Im gonna try anyways, but anyone have any exp. with an esc this small?

Ill report back on whether or not it works and how well or poorly it does.

Should be ok, any esc really. Just depends on your real estate and amp requirements. Are you using the 3racing or a servo winch?

My fav's for winch duty are these cheapie's:

3racing.
The controller that came with it was wired up backwards from the factory. after hooking it all up to try it out, the magic smoke poofed so i cut the shrink wrap off and took a look. My engrish isn't all that good, so I didnt even try calling/contacting 3racing. My english isn't that good either as a matter of fact.

Well once I figured out that the speedo is of the self setup kind. When you first turn it on, it takes whatever input there is and sets that as the neutral point. Which works well for me because I'm using a Spektrum dx3e, which has no trim for the 3rd channel. When you turn it on the 3rd ch. is at neutral. The speedo has a built in switch which is convenient unless you seal it up in a wp box. I'll do some more testing in the morning. Maybe I can just leave it on, but it's wired to get its power straight from the battery. So I guess it will be radio on before plugging in the battery. Also I made sure to clip the red power wire feeding the rx from the winch control. I'd like to find a 5-6 ch. pistol radio, that would be nice then I can hook my dig servo back up.

Maybe I will put the dig and winch on a switch so I can toggle between the 2, they could both be powered at the same time and put the inputs to the rx on a switch.

So far though the whole thing is working very well. Much less complicated than I was trying to make it.

Thanks.

Look at a hacked GT3B or GT3C, both are 8 channels, cheap RX's, sold by a vendor on RCC and great support.
