Default Sensored Issues

Ok so i bought a MMP and a trakstar sensored motor, for my Mud truck hauler rig. i went to take it to the mud flats to haul my mud truck then play in the mud with my mud truck. well when i plugged it all in and pulled on the throttle nothing happend but gittering. took it home pulled the motor and sure enough just a gitter back and forth motion. Pulled the sensor wire out and worked just fine.

so i thought it was the motor and contacted the support of hobby king sent them a video of it doing it, in turn they sent me a brand new motor. got it today hooked everything back up sure enough still doing it, so im thinking its the ESC i have contacted CC about it just a few minutes ago, but wanted to see if anybody else had any suggestions on what i may try or should i just wait and see what CC has to say most likely send in for repairs or replacement bought it on the 6th of september. and help or suggestions would be help full thanks.

That's what I was thinking. No guarantee castle's ABC matches hobbwing's ABC. Try to switch two.

Brushless sensorless doesn't care where the wires go. If you switch any two it will run the other direction.

Sensored the phases have to match the sensor, ABC to ABC. Unless you have mismatched brands, then you may be off one. I would to A-B B-C C-A and see what happens.

Maybe an issue with the actual sensor cable. Broken wires, corroded or stretched out terminals not making good contact.

wires are new, and i do have another sensor wire coming in the mail tomorrow, they don't seem to be damaged in anyway, they still go in pretty firmly not loose, just wish i had another ESC to test out.

Man electronics are strange, so i get home from work and I check to make sure the sensor wire is alright.

Plug it in as it is still same issue. Unplug it works but the forward trigger is back wards so i swap A and C motor wires.....finally correct directions when trigger is pulled.....still gets the gitters.....ok so i unplug all the wires plug them back in thinking im plugging them In differently (I didn't though plugged them in a to a b to b and c to c) and works again with sensor wire plugged in.....wth? And the part that sucks is 1. I don't know what caused it in the first place, and 2. I don't know how I fixed it lol. Well fixed for now Anyway. I'm confused

I also vote for a bad sensor wire. Reconnecting everything probably jostled it around enough to work again. I have sensor wire problems all the time and amassed a pile of them because of it. I've started putting a bit of epoxy where the wires meet the plug housing, that seems to help shore them up.

Both. They usually flex right at the plug and then crack, fray and/or work their way out of the housing. I've never had sensor wire damage anywhere else.
