Default Sensored motor and non sensored esc??

I have a Holmes trailmaster brushless and a (vanguard) castle sidewinder sitting unused. Will they play nicely? I understand that I won't get the benefits of the sensored setup, but it's much easier (cheaper) than buying a new sensored esc. This is just a short term solution, as I'll likely sell or trade this car off in a month or so.
Thanks!!

It will do nicely! I run a similar setup in my drift car and have no problems.
