| M2 dig issues?
Hi, I have just set up the m2 dig in a xr10. I am using the modded flysky 3C and programmed for proportional dig. I am using a sky lipo 3S 1300 40C. I have disconnected both power wires from the esc to the rec and use a castle bec to the rec at 6v. Using tekin hd 35T motors with new brushes. The problem I get is random jerky drive at the first touch of the throttle. Doesn't happen all at higher speeds. If I activate any dig mode and touch the throttle it literary jumps as if it's fully pressed for a spit second. Any advise? Thanks Prem. Last edited by prem1032; 10-11-2013 at 06:16 PM. |

I had one for two weeks. It was doing the same thing try to reprogram it. If you can try and get rid of that esc. You can get better esc's. I went with two sidewinder micros on my xr.

You mean reset and start again as a new install? I will try. I am looking into the dual esc option also. Thanks Prem. |

Had a M2 dig on a hacked GT3B. I never liked it, I could never get it to do what I wanted. At one point, I used a CC Link to put a big "belly" in the throttle profile to reduce ESC actuation at small throttle inputs. Never did what I wanted (using 35T motors on 3S LiPO). Maybe PM Dezmoon, he runs a M2 dig and is happy with it (I sold him my M2 dig as a spare) but I gave up and went to dual ESC's. My suggestion, ditch the M2 and go with dual ESC's. Either dual CC Mamba micro sidewinders, FX-r's or even better.... dual Holmes mini's.... |

I just tried a reprogram and still the same story. Could it be the m2 doesn't fare well with 35T motors. It's like a burst of power to start the motors going. Just a theory. I will have to change the motors and see. Maybe over the weekend. I will definitely pursue the twin esc option soon. Prem. |

Hate to break it to ya, but my $.02 are ditch the m2 ( I had one before as well and hated it) and get 2 esc Holmes, castle, tekin etc etc You will spend a little more money but have ALOT less headaches! Trust me and the others that agree! Been there done that a couple years back! |

Smart man. I ran an m2 till i figured out all the hassles were unique to the novak hardware. Was never satisfied with how the drag brake held either. in the beginning, i was down with novak's stuff. I had a rooster in my creeper, life was good. That was about a hundred years ago tho. After smoking four 3s goats, & countless dissapointing performances by their overpriced motors, i saw the light. I run twin micro winders in my xr now. Though, i'd still recommend a rooster for any crawler/scaler, gettin into the game. Only cuz i see'em 4 sale at 30-40$ tho.
