| Help needed with xr10 dual esc hook up
Need a little help hooking up my esc's. I don't have the bec wired to the servo so I'm not sure which esc front or rear do I pull the red wire from or both and on my Rx in not sure we're to plug in the esc's and bec. I have MT-4 and on the Rx I have st the and 2 aux channels. If anyone could give me some help it would be greatly appreciated.

If you're not using a Receiver Bypass Adapter to run the BEC direct to your servo, then you're going to have to plug the BEC into the receiver. In this case, you would pull the red wire on BOTH ESCs. All the receivers I've ever encountered have had all negative pins, and all positive pins on common busses, so you could plug batts or a BEC into any open slot. No experience with Airtronics, though. I imagine they're the same, but can't say for sure. . |

Thanks for the help I will pull the red wires and try it again. I didn't have them pulled the first time I hooked them up and only one esc will do anything the other one won't calibrate or do anything.

Ok so I pulled the red wires on the esc's and now I don't get the high/low voltage LEDs on the esc's but now my front esc works perfect and my rear won't even calibrate, it acts like it's not getting a signal from the tx. I'm stumped on what to do next?

Have you setup your radio yet? If you are running dig via the 3pos switch make sure that its in the middle, that will make sure both escs get signal.... and also make sure if you have proportional dig setup it isnt set to 100% front/ rear.

I messed with it a little late last night and you are right it was the tx I made some adjustments and both esc's calibrated now I'm just trying to fine tune everything. I'm trying to figure out how to get both motors turning at the same time, right now the front motor turns until about almost half throttle before the rear takes off not sure how to fix or what to change to fix.

Yep this was exactly how mine acted before I set my radio up. I will send you the settings from mine to get it going. Once the radio is set I would recommend calibrating both escs at the same time too

Thank you guys for all the help and Abrown83 a look at what your setting are would be really helpful. I didn't think to calibrate both at the same time, I may have to get the wife in on that one the smash job Chris did on my fxr's is awsome but my fat hands make it a little hard to get both esc buttons pushed at the same try but I will give it a go and see what comes out. Thanks again for the help.

Alright hope this makes sense and hope it works! System> th type> 50-50 System> aux type> aux1> moa mix System> aux type> aux2> step mix System> key assign> switch> both off System> key assign> trm1 aux1 100 norm. Trm2> trim-th 1 norm. Trm3> trim st 1 norm. Trm4 aux1 100 rev. System> key assign> dial> function aux1. Step 5. Rev nor. System>key assign>lever> aux1. Tweak H> +100 Tweak L> -100 Menu> trim> a2> H50 L50 Menu> reverse> st rev. Th norm. A1 norm. A2 reverse. These are the basic settings to get the xr working and you may need to adjust your basic stuff later. This setup uses the 3pos lever as dig. Middle being 4wd, top is front powered, bottom is rear power. You can assign different keys if you wish but this is how I like it :-) Once you have set the radio, bind the rx, and calibrate both escs at ths same time. You may need 16 hands to do this part lol Best of luck! Anthony |

Abrown, thanks for helping another with this specific radio. I believe Marzz23 has the same radio on dual ESC's.... you can PM him as well. lerad555 (do you like WRC????..... "555" is/was a sponsor of Subaru, thus my asking...), to calibrate 2 ESC's at once..... Turn on TX. Hold full throttle. Plug in rig pack. Calibrate. Done. |

I know right everyone uses the 4PL or better. But don't get me wrong when I walked into CKRC crawlers I had all intentions to buy the 4PL but the guy working talked me into the MT-4 and I always down for trying something new and not the norm. And as for my screen name it's my name backwards and as for the 555, my football number up until high school was 55 and it changed to 555 when 55 was taken but yes I do like Subaru/WRC it's just to bad Block had to switch to ford.
