Default Hyperion 606i or hitec x4 ac

I currently have a Hyperion 606i for a charger and love it but I am looking into getting a hitec x4ac as it has the ability to charge four batteries at once and was wondering if the upgrade would be worth it or I should just keep the Hyperion. Any input is appreciated.

Only upgrade to the X4 if you have multiple batteries and are constantly having your run time cut short due to waiting for charging. Otherwise just charge your batteries one at a time after your run and save some $$$'s.

Plus the Hyperion 606i is a great charger so you won't gain any kind of quality improvement with the X4.

I have 8 2s lipos I'm usually running a car and have another person running a second so that eats battery's pretty quick I also have an 8th scale I run with a pair of battery's wired up in series so I am rotating through battery's a lot. The main thing I am worried about is the hitec being a lesser quality charger than the Hyperion and it not charging as well or any issues anybody has found with the hitec. I want to make sure I'm not taking a step backwards.

I went with a pair of HYPERION EOS 1420i NET3 chargers that I bought off of Amazon for $100 each. You can network the chargers together to charge multiple batteries plus charge larger lipos at 2C or more if the battery are rated for it. The total wattage is 1100W for 2 (550W single)vs 200W for the X4. You do have to have a couple of good power supplies or car batteries to make it work.

A big plus for the X4 is the easy hookup and configuration to charge multiple batteries.

In past experiences your better off having seperate chargers. If something burns up in the x4 no charging. If you have seperate chargers and one burns up you csn still charge.

If your batts are the same capacity, a single high watt charger and parallel charge board is the ticket. Powerlab 6 is on my wish list, or an icharger 306b.

Or you could get the icharger duo run both channels parallel and charge at 70 amps I'm kidding, Do Not Do That!
