Default Fxr throttle jerky

Fxr
Axial 27t
3s
Gt3b hacked and used for years with no issues on mmp

Throttle was smooth as heck in fwd but rev was an on/off switch right to
what could be "walking speed". After the initial bump throttle could be backed off
to a creep, but had no power in any bind (against a shoe).

Turned down rev strength on esc and it affected fwd motion not rev.
I reversed channels and motor leads. Now rev can creep off of stop and is at a lower power (done with esc buttons) but Fwd is still jumpy. I messed with the expos on my radio and they don't seem to affect it at all...

Ideas?

I had to reset all my settings on my controller and do the radio calibration to get it to work correctly. Also make sure your capacitor is soldered on correctly.

Which way do the LEDs climb when you apply throttle? Switching the motor leads and reversing channels will screw up the signals the FXR is looking for. Run your throttle channel on normal, do a recalibration, set the throttle minimum to 0 and only swap the motor leads if it's running in reverse.

I've got a similar problem with my FXR. Starts with a jerk and afterwards I can let the trottle go a bit and move slower. Seems to lack speed compared to other cars. After some troubleshooting today, I realised it goes faster in reverse than forward. Reeset settings, recalibrated and so on. As I read this topic I realised that I've forgotten to check if the anti braking is off. Will try that tomorrow
Tekin Support want me to upgrade software on esc, as the earlier versions acted a little jerky.

Strange thing with mine is that the new Tekin 35t motor smells burnt, but it's not hot at all. Barely beginning to feel warm...

I also had a touchy reverse when I switched an fxr to a different vehicle. I made sure fwd and reverse endpoints were 150% on my dx3r and then reset the esc epa's. Now it is nice and smooth

Make sure the LEDs are climbing from right to left when you're on throttle. Sounds like it may be calibrated backwards, or you are using the throttle reverse switch on the TX. The FXR looks for a specific signal for fwd/neutrall/reverse.

Also make sure you are updated to the latest firmware version.

Hooked up a Castle Sidewinder 3 and everything functions very smooth as intended without changes on radiosettings. So in my case it's an issue with the FXR for sure.
