| Issues with a stuttering tekin 35t
So I've been having issues with my tekin 35t crawler motor. I took it apart, cleaned it, used the Tekin Rebuild Kit to replace the pieces in the endbell. It has been stuttering when using reverse and I am not sure why. Here is a video sort of. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koMo...e_gdata_player |

Yeah I tried the motor in my old veterra esc and it worked fine. I tried to reset the Tekin fxr but that did not seem to help at all. Still does it. Even when the servo is reversed it still only stutters when I set the throttle to reverse position.

It shouldn't be yucky or old. It was run about once before I tore the whole truck down to reconsider what I was doing with it. I am pretty sure it is an esc problem, as on another ESC, the motor spun fine forward and reverse. Also tried a different tx/rx and without the BEC. On my FXR, when I pull forward, the lights on the esc display ascend gradually, but in reverse, they pulse. I think I either have a setting wrong or maybe it got messed up somewhere along the way. I tried to do a self test/reset but the problem persists afterwards. Tried to recalibrate the radio to receiver and esc. I wish I had the hotwire and I was gonna pick one up when I went to the hobby shop tuesday, but he had them ordered to come in on wednesday.

If the esc is showing you any "pulsing" that is what the signal we're being given my your esc. I'd wager you have an ABS or other setting pulsing the reverse/brake signal. Make sure it's off. Going to reverse should ramp up just like forward. |

Thanks for the tip. I will have to see what settings it has. Though it should have reset to defaults when I did the self test.

I figured out the issue, though I have no idea how it happened. It was neither my FXR nor my Motor. Apparently the ABS setting on my transmitter was turned on, which boggles my mind as I have never used abs on any of my models. Anyway all is smooth now so I can figure out how to piece my scx10 back together now. Lol.
