| HH TorqueMaster Pro 35t problems
SO..... I've been having problems with my TorqueMaster Motor. The first run it ran fine, no problems, smooth perfect machine. 2nd run it dies after about an hour. It wasn't the battery cause the servos were still turning. 3rd and 4th run it it quits after about 30-40 mins. the 4th run I ran in dirty water so I cleaned it. I noticed the comm was a little beat. It looked like it had a few more runs left. I ran it today in a pretty clean creek by my house. It died on my in LESS THAN 10 MIN!!!! It was deep when it died to so thanks to that I took a swim. I pulled it out and hit the throttle and nothing so I did this for about 5 min. , just reving and listening, and finnaly I hear it creaking and crunching. nothing is moving though, I push it and still nothing. Idid the same in reverse and it went back a few inches and then died again. This is my setup.: -HH TorqueMaster Pro 35t -HH BRXL waterproofed from the factory -CC BEC Pro waterproofed by me -2 Hitec 7954sh waterproofed by me -Gens Ace Lipo also waterproofed by me -and not to forget my wraith, waterproofed by me I'm will be so mad that I spent 65 bucks on a motor that I have to get service every 3 runs. someone help. |

I think your asking for a shortened life when you decide to run through muddy water.

Brushed motors tend to need more love especially when your running them really hard ( water and mud add in even more wear and tear). Remember when people raced with brushed motors they rebuilt them BETWEEN HEATS. Maybe you might be better off with a throw away traxxas 21t motor. You did not say what you were running the motor in. Wrong gearing, or wrong gearing along with a 12 pound car is brutal on these motors. |

I'm thinking your pinion gear was to large....causing motor to overheat.. what pinion & spur gear did you run?

Dirty water destroys motors, brushes, coms, bearings, etc. You need a way to keep the crud out.

Oh yah sorry the wraith is very light, only 6.8 lbs and has 19/87 gearing. Well if its the mud destroying it then maybe I should get a cheap motor, like yall said or get the hh motor saver thing. Which one do you think I should get?
