Default got a question

I got my new Castle 3800kv brushless motor for my Exo, and when I was looking at it. I see it says 100,000 rpm's max, can a motor actually spin that fast, and what happen if it exceeds 100,00 rpm, does it get too hot and burn up, how would you get to 100,000 rpm, out of the motor.

That's a great exo motor but be careful the 3mm shaft can be broken...

Hey White-Trash

Damn how do you do that, was it from an impact or did it lock up, or is it that the motor has so much torque that it snap the shaft off. I thought all Castle brushless motors had 5mm shafts, what about the Castle brushless 2900kv that came in the RTR Exo's, cause I have two of the 2900kv one coming out my Exo and the other one is going in my mini trophy, then I got two Tekin Redline 13.5 turns Sensored brushless motors in my crawlers, that look to be same shaft size as the Castles, should I be worried, can you buy new shafts and bearing and rebuild them. Or if that happens their toast, I don't normal abuse my r/c's but every once and awhile, I bash them and brake parts, shit happens, but have never damaged a motor, brushed or brushless, years and years ago, I destroyed a borrowed Tamiya Subaru Brat, it was accident, it had the OG mechanical speed control and it went full throttle and it stuck there, and it crashed and burned, seriously it went end for end and broke the suspension, there was pieces flying off and some thing shorted out and it went up in flames, it really did crash and burn, my buddy was pissed off, but we laughed about it later when I say it sitting on the shelf where he kept it, with before and after pictures and the quote '' it good there's helmet law ''

I launched off of a big dune and it tried going nose down so I had to use the throttle to level it out. It flew so far it slowed waaaaay down before it landed and it was under heavy power when it landed and pop went the shaft. I need to replace the rotor with a 5mm version but I've since put the big trackstar setup in and won't be going back to the castle in the exo anytime soon.
