Default is my servo fried

Finally got to take my new Wraith out crawling yesterday and all was fine for about 20 minutes. Now when I turn left the wheels stick left and you can hear the servo trying to keep turning left. I can get it unstuck by backing up and going forward while turning it right but once I go left again it sticks. Its still the stock servo. Thanks

reset your EPA, if your servo wants to keep turning it sounds like its not set properly

Dumb question but what's the EPA ? I bought it used from a member here and have been using it around the house for 3 weeks with no problems.

End point adjustment. Adjusts the steering to stop right at or before full movement of the knuckles. If not set will try to force the knuckles farther than they can actually steer and burn up servos... Breaks parts.... Or strips servo gears. K.owing the servo you are using it may be a stripped gear.

Can I take apart the servo to check for a stripped gear?

Yes, you can. Definitely sounds like stripped gears. I've been through numerous sets of replacement gears on my hitec 645 servos. Loosen the 4 long screws on back of servo and remove front cover to access gears.

stock axial servo...

if the plastic bushing(s) that center the output shaft have worn.

...gear alignment (mesh) - possible gear tooth damage

Plastic bushing wears out immediately. If the gears are okay try replacing it with a bearing the same size. I did that on mine and it lasted a little while. But they seem fragile to me.

I think I'm just going to bite the bullet and buy a Hitec 7954SH and a CC BEC. What about a Y cable do they ease installation?
