My son runs them on his SCX10. Don't want him messing with lipos yet. He's 8. Just got him a 5000 and was curious about what his run times might be as well.

I too get about 2.5-3 hours on a 5000mah nmhd pack, depending on where and how I run. I don't run lipo's,only run nmhd's myself (I've had some lipos out of curiosity, but since I don't compete or race, and have always been served well with nmhd's,and while lipos DO have advantages (they also have disadvantages though),none of those were enough to offset cost/risk/etc for the running that I do,so that's what I use). I normally don't even run my 5000mah packs unless I'm out for most of the day (3 hours of run time doesn't include breaks and such, which I take (being disabled--walking's painful some days ).

I'm thinking hard about getting back into racing (most likely electric short course trucks, since that's pretty much all that runs my area now-a-days) next season after 14 years out of it,if I do,I'll most likely use lipo for that

Awwrite
Stock rtr jeep wrangler rubicon
5000 nihm battery
Lipo cut off turned on(dont know how to turn it off lol)
Full throttle most of the time (first test drive)
my estimate run time is two hours
crawling probably more

My personal review of this rtr?
With all of the rc's I have
This has got to be the weakest link of all
Plastic is weak but this plastics are ridiculous
im talking about the steering link
Looks and feels like from scrap plastic
I thought that would be the weakest part of this rig
Bu nope
Its those 4 links
At standing still and full throttle
one of those 4 links will bend and pushed the tire forward
ffirst to upgrade 4links its a must
The steering link? Its working fine for now
Not sure when I take it offroading tho

So I ordered those 4 links at rpphobby
and ae5 esc
Much easier to turn from lipo to nimh
none of thag programming crap
