Default charging questions...

I've done quite a bit of reading, but can't quite find my answer...

Can a 7.2v nimh battery (in this case, an 1100mah) be trickle charged with a 9 volt, or even 12 volt, power supply? (given that it's a 110 mah power supply?)

I know this isn't optimal, by any sense of imagination, but my charger doesn't do trickle charging (it's lowest setting is 1 amp), and I have a big box-full of various power supplies.

If it IS possible, do I have to keep a close eye on it? Watch the temperature somehow?

Does charging with voltages higher than what's rated on the battery matter that much?

What I'm really wanting to do is possibly breathe life back into my dying losi mrc battery, which is a 1100mah 7.2v.

Also, my son's redcat rockslide came with a battery, I'd love to do a nice trickle charge on it as well, but not have to buy another charger...

Save your battery and your house burning down: just search eBay for 7.2v charger and drop the $6.

...After a little more research, all I'm seeing are "overnight" chargers for 7.2v batteries that are nothing more than simple ac adapters, rated at 9v 300mah outputs....basically the same thing I mentioned earlier, right? And these are chargers being sold by companies like HPI...

Found one overnite charger, rated at 7.2v 150mah, but it's about $40 with shipping...better off just buying a new battery...
