Depends on the track. 80/20 would be a good start IMO, for a nice and fast rig. More technical tracks with heavy rock gardens would need lower gearing.

What axles are you running? Or what rig?

I'm running 54/13 gearing in a wraith based rig. These are 32p gears.. Which is a 4.15:1 gear ratio.

Holmes is talking 48p gears and a 4:1 gear ratio..

My scx is running 56/12 gearing, which is a 4.66:1 gear ratio. It gets more rocks and crawling, so I have it geared lower.

The yeti is 60/16 gearing (3.75:1 ratio). Some are running 56/18..

Hope there's some help for ya.
