Default Output voltage on AE5 ESC

Is the voltage output to steering & aux outputs the same as battery input voltage or is it regulated lower?

Yes, it is 5v. I had to disassemble Wraith to connect LEDs & measured it. Anyone know current capacity?

Maybe 1 or 2 amps I would guess. If you are putting big loads on it, I would install a cc bec

Wow I didn't realise it was that low. Even with the Holmes hobbies waterproof brxl at 6v 5amps I'm still running a cc bec.

If you run a cc bec it doesn't really matter what the internal is, as its no longer being used.

Wow am I a dumb-ass. I meant voltage output of the AR-3 receiver! DOH!

Sorry for the cornfusion...

I did measure the voltage output of the receiver is 5V. No idea what the current limit is & Axials spec sheet (for the xmitter) has no info.

I imagine I need a BEC to take advantage of the HS-7950TH Servo I put in it...

The AR-3 does no voltage regulation at all. Whatever you put in, you get out minus a little bit of line/component loss.

I would definitely use an external BEC with the 7950 servo.
