Novak vintage trans am spec combo for crawling

Anyone used that setup? I have the EDGE 2S/25.5t setup in a VTA car, and love it.. would the GTB3/ 25.5t setup be a decent combo in a crawler? Has many adjustable parameters including drag brake, and a Sensored 25.5T brushless motor.. it's 1S or 2S only but I think it would be great geared down..

Sounds great but, for me, even 2S is kind of weak. I run 3S in everything.

I see I am hesitant to run 3S in a crawler, I feel I would need a 55t+ brushed motor so it was tame, plus then I would think you would go through brushes at a pretty high rate.. in a brushed motor

I run 3S in my brushless on road 2wd slash and it's a lot to handle and that only goes in a straight line.. so I figured this 25.5t would do pretty good, my VTA setup is awesome in my TA-05 super smooth power band like a brushless setup should be..

I run a Novak Goat/13.5/2S in an SCX and a Wraith and it's very smooth, and works fine for my style of driving. Never gave me an issue. Imagine the GTB would be similar.

25.5t might be a bit on the slow side, but the system itself should do just fine.

3s if for those who need MORE POWER! 2s works fine for me. I only use 3s when I comp with my wraith, just in case I need the extra wheel speed anywhere on course.
