Default Dig Servo.

The servo on my axial dig kit wasn't engaging in 4wd securely and would sometimes let it slip into 2wd. I tried to adjust it but during the adjustment it went up in smoke.

Now I'm replacing the servo and I have it setup to place a good amount of force on the shifter to make sure it holds well in 4wd.

So is it bad to have the servo constantly pushing the that hard or will it be ok? I've got the truck powered up and am monitoring the temp. So far it has held steady at 117f . is this too hot? How hot can a servo run? Any help is appreciated.

I have a couple two speed trans, set your EPA only as far as the transmission linkage travel will allow. If you keep torque on the servo it's just going to burn up again. My shifting servos have never ever got warm. Other than when there shifting the servo they should be static.

Ok cool thanks. I ended up doing just that. The servo is quieter now and has less heat.
