Default Replaced TX & RX and I blew out steering servo, lol

Well the good news is that my new Radio and receiver work great.

Then of course, I turned up the Steering Rate on my TX too high and blew out my steering servo. Any good recommendations for a steering servo and horn that won't break the bank?

Thanks

Ace! A 100 plus Oz is about 15 on line and water proof. They are made for / thunder tiger which I think is associated. They come in there 1/8 monster truck. My son has been using one for a year without any problems, I had it in 2 other cars

Thanks snapon boy, would you mind linking the servo you're talking about? I don't see any Ace 200 oz servos listed on ebay.

This one? It says it's 108oz, is that enough?

It's not the same case but I found the one my son has and the specs are wright, I'm sorry I thought It was 200. Long story short it works fine in my son's dingo with Mickey Thompson Baja claws . We went to a comp yesterday and he did almost as good as me. For 15 it's hard to beat. Jr has a cc bec set at 6 volts also.
I keep some for spairs.

Hey, no worries, if you think it'll work then I'll pull the trigger on it, appreciate it. Which servo horn or servo saver do you recommend? We've been through a few of them before, stripped out an aluminum one and a plastic one.

You can see on the bottom of the red wires where the Tower servo burned out, stinks real good:

I'd stay away from ACE. The last ACE servo I had lasted 4 packs

What's your budget? I personally have been running the Savox 1283SG in all my rigs. 416oz/in at 6V for $93. Never had any issues in 2 years of running them and it will push 7" MT tires around with ease.

Make sure you adjust and keep an eye on your dual rate or set endpoints on your TX if equipped or you'll burn out any servo eventually

Savox 1283 is a pos. Don't make that good of power...... brown out easily and burn up. Many problems with them. 1270 is a better servo $84 directly from savox.

The point about setting your endpoints is a good one. If you can set them do it. As for brands of Servo I use Ace and hitec and I have a Holmes Hobbies. If your going to run a hi torque Servo get a bec.

So far I have heard decent reviews about the pro modeler servo's, and you can't go wrong with a Hitec either. I know you already ordered the pro modeler, but pick up a solar D772 for a spare. I have been using one in a rig for almost two years and still going lol. If you happen to burn up this servo you ordered at least you have a cheap replacement until you get another one.
