| How to set servo to 7.4v
I am running a cc sv3 and hitec 5646wp setup and u don't know if my servo is set to 7.4v. Is there a way to check that and if it isn't how would I set it to 7.4v? Thanks Sent from my XT1042 using Tapatalk |

Are you running an external bec? If so, you need a volt tester with wires/pins like an automotive one and can test the wires after the bec. If not, you have to set it in the esc. You should be able to test the rx with a volt meter as well.

According to they're paperwork the voltage bounces between 5 and 8. I would assume when running ur servo is seeing 5v Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

a CC BEC and a CC link to adjust the BEC to 7.4V. Then you need to wire your servo straight into the BEC to get your 7.4V. That would be the BEC pos and Neg into the Pos and Neg of your servo and the signal wire from the servo goes into the RX.

Pick up a holmes bypass y harness or make one. Makes install super easy. Also, you want a ground and signal wire going into rx.

I would have to pull apart the wires then and I don't want to do that so is there a way not to Sent from my XT1042 using Tapatalk |

As mentioned, get a HH Rx Bypass and all you need to do is solder a BEC to your battery leads coming from the ESC. I use a HH Rx Bypass on all of rigs and it just makes for easier wiring not to mention your servo is getting direct power so you know it's getting exactly the voltage you have the BEC set at.

So you only put the pos to the servo with neg and signal to RX? EDIT: Nevermind I saw Holmes bypass. Never done it that way. wonder if it makes a difference with only the signal wire into the RX?? Last edited by Stuck; 02-05-2016 at 04:17 PM.

Some times it doesn't but some times you will get glitching. So just easier to do it in the first place and not worry.

I know that all of this sounds very overwhelming to you, but if you have done any soldering at all, it is a pretty easy process. Just do a search to find info on the process being discussed here. The Holmes harness takes most of the work out of the process for you. |

If you don't know how you should learn to solder to get the most out of this hobby. That being said , you could always pickup a hey ok no brainer bec and it's just plug and play. I can solder but i picked up two of these when my soldering station was broken and they work great !

Or you could get a better a ESC like a Tekin RSX. Set it for 7.4 volts. You'll get 5.5 amps continuos and won't need to worry about a external BEC. An added be if it is the RSX will run cooler than the CC/Axial even without the fan. |

Thanks guys, seems easy enough to me, I would get a better esc but being 14 money is a little bit of an issue for me. Anyways thanks for all your help. Sent from my XT1042 using Tapatalk |
