Default 5995tg and lipos

I have the TCS on order and was wanting to use the 5995tg but it does not recommend above 6v and lipos only come in 7.4v and 11.1v. Has anyone run more than 6v successfully?

i would always recommend using a voltage regulator- even with a 5 cell reciever pack. it will save your servos in the long run. there is no need for it really, unless you have extra money and want to push your servos as far as possible.
