Default YXL Motor mount Plate help

Morning all

I just got my first YXL and am trying to put my motor into it and it would seem the screw holes are too small in the motor mounting plate. Would anyone know please of a replacement one that would accommodate the larger screws for my motor, or am I SOL and need to find another motor to use? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

The black screw that is pictured is the one that came with the kit AX147

Your options are, counter bore plastic motor plate to fit those bigger screws, or counter sink motor plate but you will need bigger flat head screws. Or drill/tap 2 new holes in motor to fit stock 3mm hardware.

I'd say measure your mounting hole distance on your motor first. If it matches the mount then just drill the 3mm hole out to 4mm cause your going to need longer screws flathead I this case to make up the plate thickness anyhow.

I would think that with such a nice built machine there would be another option other than drill here.

Nah! You have to think like a Marine when you own any Axial. Adapt, improvise and overcome. Or a much more expensive option is to get a new motor.

Does anyone have a YEX1802 Aluminum Motor Mount Plate and can measure the holes please?
I sent an email to Hot racing asking but they have yet to answer.

Are the little HR things removable?

Its the same distance as stock plastic motor plate. And yes they are removable IIRC. I would have to look at mine.

Thank you for checking. The distance isnt the problem I am having. It is the hole diameter. My team orion uses a M4 screw to mount and the YXL mounting plate is tapped for a M3
