Question What 750 Motors are out there?

Well after hours on end of searching for the last week, iv'e managed to find only the RC4WD 750 motor rated at 16t and the Traxxas Titan 775's rated at i think 10 turn. With my 10x10 build, due to the weight, i've been forced to look into large can motors, but heaven knows the ratings for those two are not high enough turn wise. Yes, what ever i decide to go with will be heavily geared down, but a higher turn wouldn't hurt in my book. Hoping some of you folks have some suggestions else i will go the Dewalt motor avenue. If it helps, the motor will be ran by a dedicated Tekin RX8 Gen. 3 and be fed 22.2V Lipo. As big and heavy a truck this is going to be, i do plan on running dual motors and transmissions. Any ideas?

I figured as much, know where i might find the can specs? not sure if the mounting pattern and spacing are the same as standard 750 motors. Most of the websites i find that have the motors only give the physical dimensions but not much more then that.

It's more likely those motors were adapted for RC from existing standard 750/775's. The std 775 hole mount appears to be 29mm. One thing to note is with the extra length, they act like much higher turn motors vs a 540-size turn amount.

Now that i didn't know, is there a specific ratio between a larger cans turn rating compared to a smaller 540? Ive visited Kershaw a few times but only saw him list his 700 series and the highest rated dewalt he had was 18v (i know they like over-volting but i wanted to hold to the under-volt and over gear motto. Thanks Hydro, i love learning about this stuff.

Was going to say the same thing as mikemcE and scouting the powertool market. Ebay is full of drill motors/parts with dimensions noted.

Also a few videos out there showing dewalts mounting. Latest tools are 18v but motors are 12,14.4, 18....

Good call, i may pop down to my local lowes as they tend to have clearance dewalt tools missing their batteries. Most tend to go cheaper then buying the motor on its own. thanks guys!

Check thrift stores in your area as well.
You can find many used motors that way and for cheap.

I have been running the dewalt and comparable 775 sized motors in my e revo, summit and e maxx for years. The absolute best brushed motor available is the 820 sized dewalt motors. If it is going on 6s (22.2v) run the 18v. Its super high turn and loads of torque, but it is very slow. Hence why it is rated at 18v. I run my 12v motors on 4s all the time and when i want to hurt some feelings i plug 5s into that bad boy. the 14v makes more torque but is slower and for some weird reason does not handle more voltage than the 12v. They are completely different motors, I have had those things apart and compared them side by side. Replaceable brushes on the dewalt motor too so they last forever. Performance and torque wise? Much much more power than any 750/775 motor i have ever tested and i have pulled countless junk drills with good motors apart. Craftsman 19.2v drills, ryobi 18v and even some other ones i cant remember... Regardless, all 775 motors were the same power and even the same part numer on the 18v models even between different brands. The only ones with specific motors were the crafstman 19.2v drills but i could not notice any difference in performance. By far though, the dewalt destroyed every other model i tested. My favorite was the 12v on 5s for a basher. crawler on 6s, go with the 18v. Best of luck my friend and message me with questions if you would like.

I have a brushless motor that will do the job, its a 40x 96 mm at 1390 kv works very well on 22v and has great low speed ability, with standard mounting holes- non sensored if you interested
